Meet Collinsville First Baptist Church:

God is moving in Collinsville, Mississippi! At Collinsville First Baptist, we are a thriving multigenerational congregation who loves Jesus and wants to reach others outside our own walls. With our Christ-centered, future-oriented mindset, we strive to reach others in order to further the Kingdom of God.

Within the last year, we have experienced an attendance growth of 23% and are on track this year to continue this trend by already growing 12%. Collinsville First Baptist has many areas for service and discipleship such as our student, children's, and music ministries. We also offer Life Groups and discipleship classes during SN@C (Sunday Night @ Collinsville). Our church is very mission-minded. We desire to serve others at all levels, beginning right here at home and flowing outward to our annual international mission trips.

Collinsville First Baptist Church will celebrate its 100-year anniversary in 2026. The church has come a long way since it was founded by 21 charter members. In 1926, the members initially worshiped once a month in the Collinsville Methodist Church building. In 1928, construction was completed on our one-room cinderblock building. In the years following the inception of our church, we have grown exponentially, allowing us to serve a multitude of people throughout our community and surrounding areas. Our goal is to continue this trend in the future as we desire to expand the Kingdom of God by sharing the good news with everyone.

Our church has built and updated many facilities throughout the years, but the entire facility had to be demolished after an EF2 tornado came through and caused severe damage to many homes and the church in February of 2016. Despite the tragedy of the tornado coupled with the loss of our entire campus, the church continued to grow steadily. During our time of displacement, a state-of-the-art facility was built, and the inaugural service was held on March 25, 2018. Our facility currently has a Worship Center that seats approximately 700, a large gathering area for our students, a large gathering area for our children, and 33 rooms for small-group discipleship.

Although the buildings have changed multiple times over the years, one thing remains constant:  our church is a Christ-centered, future-oriented body of believers building a legacy of faith.

Where Church and Community Intersect:

Collinsville First Baptist is known for its outstanding partnership among local schools, the community, and other organizations. Most notably, we have a strong partnership with our local West Lauderdale schools. Not only do we find ways for ministry at the schools weekly, we also host several teacher trainings, banquets, and ceremonies. Furthermore, we host Fellowship of Christian Athletes worship nights, partner with the SPOT (Special Place for Others to Thrive, an organization to bring together the fragmented community of special needs families), strongly support the Center for Pregnancy Choices (our local crisis pregnancy center), and currently host each week the Anchor Christian Academy (a local Classical Christian homeschool co-op program). We love to see our facility used by our community because here at Collinsville First Baptist, we see ourselves as the intersection of the social, educational, and spiritual crossroads of Lauderdale County.
